Ginny and Sundance began training in 2007 as a mantrailing team, but after establishing an impressive foundation, Belgian Tervuren Sundance decided she preferred the freedom of wilderness area search instead, and in October 2008, they became an air-scenting team. Sundance certified with the Network of Canine Detection Services in 2009, and together, Ginny and Sundance qualified with the Mississippi Homeland Security Task Force K-9 team in air-scent in both 2009 and 2010. In 2011, Ginny and Sundance became a NASAR-certified mission-ready Canine SAR Tech III area search team, and also certified with the National Police Work Dog Association in 2013. They serve on the Shelby County (TN) Sheriff’s Department SAR team.
